Mike the Knight

A couple weekends ago, Uncle Mike and I took Grace and Maddox to a live show of Mike the Knight. Zilla had originally bought the tickets for her and I to take Grace and Anna, but I wasn't sure how Anna would do and decided it might be more fun for Grace and Maddo to go together. Grace just adores her big cousin and was so excited that he was coming with us! They both really enjoyed the show. As soon as the show was over Maddo said he loved it and couldn't wait to see another play! We had a quick bite to eat after the show and headed home, since it was a school night. Zilla and I will be taking Grace and Anna to see Dora later this month; we took Grace last year and I'm really excited to see what Anna thinks of the experience!

Dirty Looks

Anna can give a mean dirty look. It's usually reserved for strangers that try to talk to her, but often comes out even for friends or family that we haven't seen in a while. Yesterday we went to visit Aunt Theresa and Uncle Bob. Anna hadn't seen Bob in quite a while and as soon as she saw him, she gave him the dirtiest look! We all couldn't help but laugh, and joked about how she was going to hurt her face, that's how much of a scowl she had on. I tried to catch a picture of it... you can kind of see it here but it was even more intense in person!

Happy Easter!

Last night, I was worried that it might be a not-so-happy Easter for the littlest Sampson. Anna was up getting sick most of the night! Poor girl had 3 bubble baths throughout the night and went through as many pairs of pyjamas and bedsheets.
She seemed better when she woke up in the morning and as soon as big sister woke up, the egg hunt began! Grace had a big smile on her face the second she walked out of her bedroom. "Let's go see if the Easter Bunny was here!" The girls found their eggs throughout the house and their baskets of treats. Shortly after, Anna was sick again!
We decided Anna would stay home with Brian while Grace and I went to Zilla and Bampers' house for brunch. We had a lovely meal with family, Grace and Maddo played outside in the yard and we finished off with an egg toss!
Anna had a 3 hour nap at home and was fine for the rest of the day. We were disappointed that she and Brian missed the Easter festivities but Anna definitely needed the rest.

I've been meaning to post here more regularly, and have a bunch of half finished posts sitting in my drafts. I realized after the girls found all of their eggs that I didn't take any pictures! I will blame it on being tired after being up most of the night with Anna. The girls (especially Grace) loved searching the house for eggs and Grace had a great time playing with her cousins at Zilla's. We also celebrated Auntie Murr's birthday! I did take a few pics throughout the day...
