Friday Night Leftovers

  • B has been working evenings this week. While it's nice to have him home with us in the morning, I do miss having his help at supper/bath/bed time.
  • We called Grampers yesterday to wish him a happy birthday. Grace yelled her 'happy birthday' to him while I was talking to him on the phone. I put the phone to her ear so Grampers could talk to her and she was completely silent.
  • I love watching her when I hold the phone to her ear. At first she would look at me, realize I wasn't the one talking, then she would look around the room. Now she usually just sits very still and listens. Zilla or Great Aunt T will sing to her on the phone and she just sits and smiles. When I'm on the phone, she yells in the background.
  • We had a small mishap at the grocery store yesterday. There weren't many carts to choose from so I had to take one without a seatbelt. We were about halfway through the store and Grace started to get squirmy. I was grabbing something off the shelf and she leaned too far over and hit her head on the side of the cart. She only cried for a minute, but I had to carry her for a while and push the cart with one hand - not an easy task! Especially because I always manage to pick that cart. The one with a bad wheel that doesn't want to turn.
  • Grace's swing, bouncy chair, and the base of the exersaucer are finally out of our living room! We've been meaning to take them to Great Gramma's for a while now, to store in her basement. We had a nice visit with GG too.
  • B got up with Grace this morning so I could sleep in. It was lovely! I think they enjoyed their Daddy-Daughter time too; they spent the morning playing and made a trip to Tim Hortons.
  • Find more leftovers here!

I always pick "that" cart too!

We shop at Superstore. They don't have seat belts at all. Why is that?!?!

We had an incident with Tot when she was little in a grocery cart. It was so scary. I never knew how fast they could get their little bodies out of those things. So glad Grace is okay!!!
