- We made it through the storm last week. We didn't even lose power - bonus! It was a pretty nasty 2 days though. Schools were cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday. I was glad we didn't need to go anywhere.
- Freezing rain all day today. Schools were cancelled and the roads are terrible. It's snowing right now. Some Spring we're having so far...
- I just registered Grace for another session of Tumblebugs. It starts next week. She had so much fun last time, and the prices for these programs are great so we had to sign her up again! I also registered her for ballet!
- Anna is still not sleeping through the night. This frustrates me greatly, especially since Grace has been sleeping through the night since she was 3 months old (I know that's early, but still. Anna is almost 17 months old. Come on.)
- She may not be a great sleeper, but Anna is hilarious. She is talking so much and learning new words constantly and she is so much fun to be around.
- I'm thankful that Grace and Anna get along so well. Sure, they have their moments but in general, they're best friends and love to play together.
- I need to try to get a video of Anna talking to her baby cousin Madeline. She uses the sweetest, softest voice; it's so cute!
- This winter has been hard on us in terms of sickness. It seems there is always someone in the house with a cold (usually one of the kids). I kept thinking it would get better when Spring came, but we have yet to get any Spring weather!

Seriously, Winter?
Spring officially started last week and yet we're supposed to get a huge snowstorm tomorrow. We could get 30-40cm of snow. Seriously!? I am so done with Winter!
"An intense and dangerous Nor'easter is forecast to impact Atlantic Canada starting Tuesday night with heavy amounts of snow, hurricane force winds and pounding surf/storm surge." Sounds lovely. The Weather Network is telling people to prepare for "near complete travel shutdown" tomorrow.
So we'll be hunkered down tomorrow, hoping that we don't lose power. I hope whatever snow we get doesn't last long and we can move on to more Spring-like weather!

Rubber Boots for Little Feet
I am finding it impossible to find rubber boots for Anna. I had the same problem with Grace! Do toddlers with size 4 feet not need rubber boots? Do my kids have small feet for their age? Maybe kids with size 4 feet aren't usually walking? I don't know. But it's frustrating! Over the weekend I had Anna in Grace's old size 5 boots (I ended up buying size 5 for Grace when she was Anna's age because I could not find size 4 anywhere). They're a little big, and they're not even real rubber boots because they velcro closures on the side and aren't fully waterproof, but she did pretty well in them.
I've been looking online and it seems there are a few brands that do come in size 4, but I really don't want to spend $60 on a pair of boots that Anna will probably wear for a couple months. But, having looked at a few of these options, I am thinking of investing in a good pair for Grace. She loves playing in the mud and jumping in puddles and all of the rubber boots she has had so far have either leaked or cracked. Her feet don't seem to grow very fast so I'm thinking if I order a size up from what she is wearing right now, they'll last her quite a while!
