Mother's Day

I had a fabulous Mother's Day!
I got to sleep in a bit, and was woken up to my bedroom door opening, and Gracie toddling into my room carrying a gift bag. She looked so proud of herself, it was the cutest thing! It was a beautiful day and we spent most of it outside, playing in Zilla's yard. I can't imagine a better way to spend Mother's Day then with my own Mom and my little girl!

Friday Night Leftovers

• I feel like I can't catch up with the housework lately. With both of us working by the time we finish supper and tidy up we don't want to do any of the 'bigger' jobs. 
• We still have to battle with Grace every night to brush her teeth. You'd think we were torturing her. 
• We bought her an electric toothbrush. Apparently it is slightly less torturous but she still doesn't like it. 
• I need to buy Grace some new clothes. We seem to go from having an abundance of clothes to having hardly anything that fits her, almost overnight. 
• I love how Grace's vocabulary is expanding so quickly and she is able to ask us for things that she wants (and tell us what she doesn't want!)
• Grace is starting to get a little better about leaving elastics in her hair (I hope I didn't jinx it).

A Few Things...

A few things I don't want to forget:

• How much Grace likes giving kisses lately. She even sticks her little lips out a bit!
• Our morning snuggles. Every morning we bring her in bed with us for a few minutes before we get up for the day. She will rub our noses with a corner of her Blankie, which is what she does to herself to go to sleep. It's so cute.
• How much she loves to read. She still loves her books more than any of her toys. 
• Her fake laugh. She is such a ham. 
• The way she dances. She does a little knee bend/squat, she likes to spin around in circles, and she does a cute little shoulder shimmy. 
• How nice it is to wake up to "Mommy?" "Daddy?" from across the hall.
